A major crash at an M4 exit has caused chaos in Sydney’s west for commuters attempting to get to the city.

Traffic is queued 9km on the M4 after a truck and motorbike collided on the Church Street off-ramp at Granville.

The exit has seen multiple crashes and fatalities, as people try to exit last minute before the toll kicks in.

All citybound lanes were initially closed to allow a helicopter to land, but three of four lanes are now open.

The citybound on-ramps from Coleman Street and Burnett Street to the M4 have reopened.

Emergency services and traffic crews are on the scene.
