A man and two eight-year-old boys have been rushed to hospital after being hit by a car in Sydney’s lower north shore.

The incident reportedly occurred near a Neutral Bay primary school, on Ben Boyd Road, just before 9am.

“Police are at the scene of a motor vehicle crash involving a car and two pedestrians,” a police spokesman said.

“Police were called to Ben Boyd Rd, Neutral Bay just before 9am today, following reports a car had collided with two pedestrians.”

“A 47-year-old man and an eight-year-old child were injured and are being transported to hospital.


“The driver of the vehicle is assisting police with their inquiries.”

The boy was rushed to Sydney Children’s Hospital in critical condition, while the man was taken to Royal North Shore Hospital in a serious but stable condition. The other eight-year-old boy is in a stable condition.
