A regional RSL Club has announced that they will not be accepting diners from Victoria, Albury, Sydney, Greater Sydney and the Blue Mountains.
In a Facebook post, Bathurst RSL in the NSW Central Tablelands stated that they had made the “very difficult decision” to ensure only members and visitors from regional and rural NSW are admitted to the venue.
They wrote: “We have taken the very difficult decision, to temporarily revise our entry rules to ensure only members and visitors from regional and rural NSW are admitted to the Club for at least the next fortnight. Visitors from Victoria, Albury, Sydney, Greater Sydney and the Blue Mountains are being asked not to attend the Club.
“We certainly do not intend to cause any offence, and we realise this is a difficult message, but we feel we have a responsibility to implement these measures to best protect our members and staff in these uncertain times.”
The announcement comes after NSW recorded 13 new COVID-19 cases in the 24 hours to 8pm on Monday with two in hotel quarantine, one a contact of a returned traveller and 10 linked to the Crossroads Hotel.
