Parts of The Pacific Highway have been closed in both directions this morning for a police operation in Brooklyn.
Police have confirmed that divers are currently searching for a vehicle that went over the Old Pacific Highway Bridge last night and plunged into the Hawkesbury River.

The incident occurred at around 9:15pm last night (Monday August 12) with reports that a vehicle had crashed through a barrier and into the Hawkesbury River.
Police are now searching for the vehicle and it’s driver.
They have confirmed that they are not treating the incident as suspicious at this stage.
The Pacific Highway between Mooney Mooney and Kangaroo Point Boast Ramp road is currently closed in both directions for this operation.
