Four people on the Ruby Princess including three passengers and a crew member have tested positive for coronavirus, the NSW government has confirmed.

The state’s chief health officer Kerry Chant has revealed that at least one of these people is in a serious condition in a Sydney hospital.

The infected crew member remains on board the ship.

The 2,700 passengers and 1,100 crew members have been ordered into a 14-day self-isolation period.

“On board, there were some people on board the cruise ship who presented with flu-like symptoms,” Health Minister Brad Hazzard said.

More to come.
