Set up puppy play dates, chat to other fur-baby parents & immerse you and your pet in the wonderful world of ‘PatchPets’!
Worried your puppy is getting a little lonely while you’re working or running errands? Well fret no more! Crafted similar to the likes of Tinder (but for pets), PatchPets will help you find a bunch of new friends for your puppy with just a few swipes of your phone.
The app helps dog owners connect their pooches with other local dogs in the community. Created by Queensland University of Technology business student Josh Fritz, the app was inspired by his move to Brisbane while adopting his Cavoodle Quincy and the need to find him some fur-buddies to play with.
Like Tinder, users create a personalised profile for their pup, and then use the app to find and network with other fur parents in their area based on location.

The app also comes with other wonderful features like a pet-friendly business directory – lists of local places your pup is welcome, dog park maps in real time and you can use the app’s message function to join group chats with your dog’s new fur-buddies.
Having only launched earlier this year, PatchPets has already clocked up over 5,000 users.
PatchPets is now available to download for free, for both iOS and Android, from the iTunes App Store and Google Play.
