A Melbourne teacher has made headlines after she gave birth to her child minutes after arriving home from work.
Sandra Rhodes of Werribee was about to start maternity leave when she began to feel unwell, prompting her to tell her husband to call 000 and get the rest of the family together.
She told Sunrise that her husband was unable to get home, so Sandra made the call and was given instructions over the phone by paramedics.
Minutes later, she gave birth to a baby boy!
Ms Rhodes told the Herald Sun that she didn’t have time to be scared over the situation and never thought she’d be in a position for something like this to happen so fast.
“It’s still very surreal that it actually happened to me. It’s one of those things that’s just a story you hear,” she said.
