With temperatures hitting 20 degrees, Sydney has been unseasonably warm over the past few weeks, so it’s only natural to expect a potential heat wave to hit the harbour city.
The Bureau of Meteorology predicts that the next few days could hit temperatures of more than seven degrees above the maximum temperature for July. The temperature is expected to hit 20 degrees on Saturday (July 20), 22 degrees on Sunday (July 21) before peaking at 24 on Tuesday (July 23).
Australia did swelter through its hottest summer on record and third warmest autumn, so there’s no surprise that winter would hit record breaking temperatures too.
