It’s been mere days since we were all shocked to see everyone stocking up on toilet paper, here, here and everywhere.

However, after the first move to limit the amount if purchases, Woolworths have now said they will no longer be offering refunds to customers who have changed their minds about their panic purchases.

On signs in stores, a note says toilet paper, paper towels, tissues and serviettes, medicinal (pain relief), cleaning (anti-bacterial wipes, sprays, disposable gloves), feminine hygiene and incontinence, baby wipes, pasta and pasta sauce, canned food (fish, vegetables, fruit, soup, prepared meals), flour and bread mixes, and oils are not refundable.

A Woolworths spokesperson said “In addition, rainchecks won’t be offered on any advertised products on promotion,”

Faulty products will continue to be refunded in full, exchanged or repaired as normal.

“We believe this is a necessary measure to meet the demand of as many shoppers as possible, and thank customers for their patience and understanding.”

The policy is in place until future notice.
