Accidently finding yourself in the men’s or women’s section of a clothing store won’t happen at one of New York’s newest shops.
Part retail, part community space, The Phluid Project says it’s “the first gender-free store in the world.”
None of Phluid’s apparel, accessories, shoes, beauty products or gifts have gender distinctions.
As well as stocking its own label, it also has well-known brands like Kinfolk, Champion and Le Spec on the shelves.
Store founder Rob Smith said the concept was to push boundaries of what people are comfortable wearing.
