This week, twitter user @Chelsea_Smithh shared the shocking realisation that she (and the rest of us) are wearing our earrings COMPLETELY wrong!
According to Chelsea, the clear bit that is secured around a regular earring back and can and SHOULD be taken off!!

However other twitter users have argued that the “plastic piece helps distribute weight on heavy earrings and makes it more comfortable.”
Others have also suggested that while you can take off the plastic, leaving it on keeps the earring on tighter and straighter.
