This is so gross but yet so satisfying!
A video has emerged online of a man forcing a salivary gland stone from under his tongue!
Brandon Douglas, posted to Reddit that something in his mouth was bothering him for days.
He said: ‘I had some swelling on my sublingual gland which is right under your tongue.
‘It had some pus/mucus stuff coming out so I had it looked at.’
After visiting the dentist Douglas was told it was a stone developing, and after four more days he was able to push it free.
As Brandon pushes his tongue towards the roof of his mouth, a long white stone begins to emerge from the sublingual gland. After ten seconds he was able to pull it free before spitting into the sink.
Glands in your mouth allow saliva to constantly flow through but sometimes these can get blocked when the saliva crystalises to form a tiny stone, according to the NHS.
These stones are mostly made up of calcium, and can range between 1mm and a few centimetres (like Brandon’s)
