Avocadoes are AWESOME. Whether you use them as a spread, in a salad or even in a healthy chocolate moose, the Avocado is a staple ingredient in all our kitchens.
However there is a very small window in which an avocado is at it’s peak.
There are many things we have been told to do to decipher whether or not an avocado is ripe.
Firstly, there’s the colour of the skin: As soon as the green skin has turned MUCH darker, then it should be ready.
Secondly, squeezing the top and checking how stiff the avocado is helps to see if it’s too firm or overripe (and soft).
However the image before is the latest and greatest way to quickly check whether your avo is good to go!
