We have to give credit where credit is due, this is a pretty genius idea from McDonalds!
The fast food giant is FINALLY trialling a “walk-thru” window, mainly aimed at weekend party-goers who can’t drive after having a drink.
The first restaurant to try it out last weekend is in North Wales and it’s been such a massive success they’re rolling it out again this weekend.
So far it’s only available between 2.30am and 4am but we think this is such a great idea it should be introduced over here ASAP!
A McDonald’s spokesperson said, “The ‘walk-thru’ was a local initiative by the business manager of the restaurant to invite local residents to come and enjoy a meal at the restaurant after their night out…
“As the restaurant is in the process of securing a 24 hour license, customers can only use the drive-thru to order food at night, so the ‘walk-thru’ is just a play on how customers can come and enjoy a nice meal, later in the evening.”
What do you reckon? Should a “Walk-Thru” window be available at every Macca’s in Australia?!
