It’s always a happy surprise when you turn up to a bar for a few drinks with friends and you realise that it’s happy hour. Meaning your mood just went from so-so to SUPER happy because your drinks are about to be a whole lot cheaper!
And so of course we were extremely excited to hear that one of our favourite bars in Sydney have organised to have happy hour all day long this long weekend to help us drink the night away without breaking the bank.
It’s all going down at Gin Lane, a specialty bar boasting a range of spectacular cocktails and over 80 specialty gins, located in the inner city of Sydney.

The happy hour spectacular will take place here on Saturday from 12pm all the way through until 7pm to help people celebrate not only the Queens birthday but an equally exciting celebration, World Gin Day!
The gin specials will be placed on all G&T classics such as the bar’s Spiced G&T, made with Tanqueray gin, infused with cinnamon, black star anise, clove, spice syrup and garnished with citrus and spices, or the Cucumber G&T, made from cucumber infused Tanqueray Gin, pressed elderflower, cucumber tonic and finished with cucumber and edible flower garnish.
But it’s not just the extended happy hour that will have cocktail lovers flocking to Gin Lane on Saturday. The bar’s latest creation, ‘Lightbulb Moment’, is sure to draw crowds too.
Created specifically for World Gin Day, this bright blue signature cocktail is made with pressed mint, anchan, Cointreau, blue curaçao, fresh peach and citrus, charged with a rose and prosecco fog and served up in a quirky lightbulb!
What better place to celebrate World Gin day than at a bar dedicated specifically to Gin! Head on down to 16A Kensington St, Chippendale if you’re keen to get in on the action!
But just a warning it’s likely to be busy, especially with Vivid still lighting up Sydney, so if you want to avoid disappointment make sure you call up and make a booking! Reservations can be made between 12pm-4pm.
