Cereal brand Kellogg’s has announced a healthy change is coming to Nutri-Grain, the breakfast of ironmen and ironwomen.

The revamped cereal, set to go on sale next week, promises more fibre and lower levels of sugar and sodium.

According to Kellogg Australia’s Director of Innovation, Tamara Howe, the challenge of making a healthier version of the cereal took 18 months of testing.

“Revamping one of Australia’s favourite cereals was a huge task. We trialled many different recipes because we knew we had to get it right for Nutri-Grain fans,” she said.

The new cereal also boasts a 4 Health Star rating.
