Honestly is there anything better than biting into a pipin’ hot pie once the weather’s cooled down?

NSW annual costs an epic pie festival along the Southern Highlands that involves hopping into your car and going for a little road trip!

The festival’s called ‘Pie Time‘ and falls on National Pie Day and it’ll see some of the best bakeries, breweries and pubs in the state serve up their best for a whole month.

Running from the 1st to the 30th of June, head to the Southern Highlands and follow the pie trail to hit up some of their delectable dishes.

According to Urban List, here’s the must-try spots and their hero pies!

Baked In Berrima—Vegan pie
Gumnut Patisserie—Massaman curry beef pie
Heatherbrae’s Pies—Alpine pie with slow-cooked venison stewed in mulled wine and apple cider
Robertson Pie Shop—Lemon pepper chicken
Samuel Gee Pies & Pastries—Yabby pie in a white wine sauce
Sonoma Bakery Bowral—Beef and beer pie with diced beef cheek, onion, celery, carrot, and Young Henrys beer
Southern Highlands Brewing Taphouse—Kangaroo and mushroom dark ale pie
The Magpie Cafe—Chicken and leek pie
The Whey Cafe—Becca’s Apple Pie with spiced cinnamon apple pie with Wensleydale cheese

Southern Highlands has also organised specials for you to hit up including Pies & Pinot (pairing wines with pies), Sweety Pie & Bubbles (dessert pies and dessert wines!!) and there’s also the option to hop on a cycle and do a pie-cycle tour on an electric bike hosted by Schmokin’ in Berrima!
