It’s been 115 years since Cadbury Dairy Milk first came into our lives but it looks they are finally about to take the next step.
By making a vegan/dairy-free option.
Mondelez, the owner of Cadbury, has apparently been testing a recipe for two years and was due to launch the new version in January.
However, it’s now understood that they have not yet been able to identify a dairy substitute that will also cater for people with nut allergies, according to the Sunday Telegraph.
A spokesman said: ‘We’re always listening to our consumers, so we can develop and provide people with a greater choice.
‘This includes looking at a plant-based Cadbury Dairy Milk bar. However, we have no immediate plans to launch.
‘We are only interested in launching a new vegan product that retains the texture and taste that our consumers love.’
We cannot wait.
