People everywhere have been jumping on the #semicolonproject to show support and fight the stigma of mental health.
Social media has blown up with photos of people drawing or permanently tattooing semi-colons on their wrists and elsewhere.
Project Semicolon’s message is “dedicated to presenting hope and love to those who are struggling with depression, suicide, addiction and self-injury.”
It spreads the message that their story isn’t finished.
The website explains: “A semicolon represents a sentence the author could have ended, but chose not to. That author is you and the sentence is your life.”
