Recently, Erica Alyse Edgerly took to Facebook to express her disappointment about her sister being sent home from school. Why was she sent home… for wearing an outfit that seemingly has nothing wrong with it.
In her Facebook post, which now has close to 100k shares, she states, “People wonder why women feel insecure about their bodies or what they wear.. And it’s because you’re told your clothing is inappropriate when you’re completely fully clothed, even… when you’re not showing cleavage or anything”.
Numerous people have supported her, themselves seeing absolutely nothing wrong with her sister’s attire. Some of the comments are as below:
Kaylea Di-Ann: “That follows all of the school guidelines that they told us at the beginning of this year…. There were girls at school today wearing shorter shirts than her and nothing happened to them… That’s ridiculous“.
Ryan Lebouef: “I don’t see anything wrong with it? When we were in school and a girl dressed like that it would be perfectly normal. I think they should focus more on girls dressing promiscuous”.
Madison Woodruff: “I have been saying the same thing that you said for so long. Why should girls have to base their clothing choices on boys who can’t learn to control themselves? Plus her whole body is completely covered so I don’t see what the problem is”.
So what do you think? Is this an inappropriate example of body shaming on behalf of the school, or do you in fact see something wrong with her outfit?
