The embattled Westconnex project is facing more backlash, this time over claims tunnelling has left a number of homes with gaping cracks in their walls.
Dozens of Strathfield, Concord and Homebush locals are claiming construction vibrations have severely cracked the inside and outside of their homes.

Homeowner Umberto Galasso says he called Westconnex to complain about the damage but was told it wasn’t caused by tunnelling.
“They’re saying because there’s been a dry winter and now that it’s raining, it’s moving into the ground,” he said.
Residents are now asking for an independent assessment of the damage so they can make a claim.
