It’s been rumoured for a long time, but now it looks like hit Aussie show McLeod’s Daughters is finally getting a reunion! But not in the way that you might think…
While there’s currently no confirmation about a reboot on our TV screens, Nine has announced that the cast will come together for an exclusive LIVE event reminiscent of the outback setting from the show.
Cast members will gather in Lismore, NSW for a special Bush Christmas reunion on Thursday December 5 at Lismore City Hall.
Stars of the show, Bridie Carter, Lisa Chappell, Simmone Jade MacKinnon, Aaron Jeffery and Myles Pollard will come together for the event for the first time since filming finished.
The rural Christmas special will be hosted by Zoe Naylor and will involve personal stories and anecdotes from the cast, an uncensored Q&A with the audience, and screenings of your favourite scenes.
There will also be an all day bar and ‘pop up diner’ to enjoy and some limited edition McLeod’s Daughters merchandise available.
“COME TOGETHER, CELEBRATE and SHARE a whole day experience with the stars of McLeod’s Daughters,” reads the event listing.
And guess what? YOU can actually be there yourself! You can grab your tickets for the exclusive event here! (But just a warning, they’re a tad pricey…)
This comes just a few months after there were talks of an actual McLeod’s Daughters reboot after cast member Myles Pollard said he would be up for it while on Today Extra.
“It’s just been released in America on Amazon Prime and it’s just going gang busters,” he said about the original series. “So look, while people are still talking about it and there’s an appetite, why not.”
Bridie Carter has also spoken about doing a reboot saying that she would keep pushing for the idea to actually happen.
“What I say to everybody is, I am like Tess McLeod and I will never give up.”
It sure would be a great time to kick-off the reboot following this exciting live event! Make it happen guys!
