Apparently a lot of iPhone users have been wasting time in an effort to save battery life.
Closing background apps has long been seen as the best way to conserve battery… but according to Apple’s Senior Vice President for Software Engineering, Craig Federighi, it doesn’t help!
A forum contributor on 9to5mac.com sent an email to Apple CEO Tim Cook searching for an answer on the matter, and Federighi responded.
Looks like next time we are down to 20% battery we’ll just have to dim the backlight and turn it to aeroplane mode…
Or face the dreaded moment that the phone battery dies…
