There were rumours that Kylie Minogue was going to make a surprise appearance at the 2016 ARIA Awards – but none of us had any idea that it was going to be such a heartbreaking ride.
Wearing a Marriage Equality t-shirt, Kylie took to the stage with her fiancé Joshua Sasse to introduce Troye Sivan.
The couple gave a speech about the national campaign to legalise same-sex marriage, reassuring those in the LGBT community that they are “not alone” in their fight.

Earlier in the evening Troye Sivan dedicated his ARIA win to “every LGBT kid in Australia”. “This is for every gay Australian kid who wants to make music, you can do it and win an ARIA too,” he said
