This morning Kyle and Jackie O had an open discussion about racism on air in a segment called ‘Tough Chat’ following the horrific acts of racial injustice that are taking place all over the world.

This conversation took place in response to the death of George Floyd, who was killed while being arrested in Minneapolis in the US last week, and the numerous protests and rallies that have followed.

We opened up the conversation to hear from anyone who wanted to share their own story and experiences, in order to gain more of an understanding of what is happening and what we can do to stop it from happening again.

One person who bravely chose to open up about his experience was Kyle and Jackie O’s own audio producer, Kian Oliver.

Kian opened up about the times that he personally has experienced prejudice or unfair treatment due to his race and he had a very powerful message to share about how he believes we can move forward from here.

In our opinion, his perspective and ideas about change could not be more spot on and we encourage you to listen to his entire speech.

All we can really say about it is a big thank you to Kian for sharing his story, and that we hear you and stand with you and all of those affected by racial injustice.
