In case you aren’t up to date on your 5 Seconds Of Summer news, one of the band members is getting ready to tie the knot!

Michael Clifford, who is the Aussie band’s lead guitarist, proposed to his long term girlfriend Crystal at the beginning of last year. And honestly we’re still trying to get over the beautiful pictures from the moment!

Based on an Instagram post on the one year anniversary of their engagement, Michael spoke about how excited he was to make Crystal his wife and said that they will hold their wedding within a year.

“I can’t believed in another year (if you actually start planning lol) I’ll finally be able to call you my wife,” Michael wrote int he sweet post.

who would have thought that 4 years after this photo was taken we would be sitting on a couch together in North Hollywood watching shitty reality tv eating buncha crunch with me lucky enough to be able to call you my bride to be. thank you for blessing me and allowing me to become the man I am today. we’ve been engaged for exactly one year today and I can’t believe in another year (if you actually start planning lol) I’ll finally be able to call you my wife. it feels surreal to have a love so honest and unconditional as I never thought I deserved anyone as pure as you in my life; but here you are proving me wrong, just like you’ve proven everyone else wrong your entire life. (a running theme) I love you with my whole entire heart and I can’t wait for many more years of us continuing to grow and learn and evolve into the best versions of ourselves that we bring out in each other. C&M forever.

While it seems a lot of the planning for the big day is still to be done, when band mates Luke Hemmings and Ashton Irwin joined Kyle and Jackie O in studio this morning they revealed one important task had been completed.

And that was Michael asking the boys to be part of the bridal party!

“Is Michael still getting married?” Kyle asked Luke and Ashton this morning.

“He is,” Luke said before Ashton added, “We’re his groomsmen!”

So looks like the whole 5SOS crew will stand beside Michael on his big day. But who was named the best man?

“Who’s the best man though?” Kyle asked.

“Mr Calum Hood on bass,” Ashton revealed.

“Yeah Calum, he’s known him the longest,” Luke added.

“Yeah, we’re fine about it,” he joked. “Honestly, I’m pretty happy it’s Calum because I would be stressed about it.”

“I would be confused that I would be the best man in the first place,” Ashton laughed. “I’d be like, ‘You sure you wanted to pick me?’”

Well no matter who the best man is, we know that all of the boys will be much better groomsmen than Kyle was to his friend Bryan McFadden…

Kyle basically told Luke and Ashton what not to do on the wedding day, revealing that he ended up skipping his mate’s wedding despite being in the wedding party.

“Well we’re going to attempt to be there,” Ashton laughed.
