Sydney-siders! It’s time to rejoice!
Tasmania reckons they’ll be opening their borders with NSW from 6th November which is next Friday believe it or not.
We can set our little footsies on the island for the first time since March where Tasmania became the first state to seal it’s borders from the rest of the country!
“Over the last 28 days NSW has had six… in a population of nearly 8 million people. So they are on top of this, but we want to ensure that as we move closer to [next] Friday there are no further major outbreaks,” Tasmanian Premier Peter Gutwein told reporters.
“At this stage they look on balance very safe in terms of their population size and the relative risk to Tasmania.”
So pack your bags, we’re leaving The Big Merino and The Big Prawn for bigger and better things!
