It’s not just cars on Uber that will be on-demand anymore, with Capitain Cook Cruises launching it’s very first on-demand ferry service.
The ferry will operate between Elizabeth Bay, Garden Island (immediately to the north of Potts Point in Sydney east) and Circular Quay. Passengers will be able to request the small ferries using an app called Ahoy.
When requested, the app will find the nearest ferry, request it and then track its journey and arrival time.
Each journey will be $7.50 per adult, one way, which is the same cost a regular ferry journey in Sydney.
Payments can be made via your Opal card as well with cash or credit card.
A saver option is in place if you want to use the service regularly and will cut the cost down to $5.90.
Each ferry can carry up to 60 people!
See you on-board!
