If you caught public transport to work this morning, you would have been pulling your hair out due to the extreme delays.

While a frequent service is currently being provided across all train lines, delays can be expected for your journey home.

The network is still recovering from this morning’s power outage at Ashfield, despite repairs being carried out to the high voltage power line at the Ashfield substation.

‘Travelers may experience some delays and stopping pattern changes,’ a Sydney Trains spokesperson said about this evenings commute.

Some express services have been altered to stop at more stations, and bus services are supplementing train services between Campbelltown and Macarthur, Glenfield and Leppington, Penrith and Emu Plains, Blacktown to Richmond and Hornsby and Berowra.

‘Sydney Trains apologises to customers who may have been inconvenienced,’ the spokesperson said.

Customers are advised to plan their journey by visiting www.transportnsw.info or use trip planning apps to find an alternative trip.
