Is there anything Selena Gomez can’t do?

The triple-threat is extending her work portfolio even further, with a co-producer title on Netflix’s incredible new series, 13 Reasons Why.

Sel took to Instagram to share a teaser of the show, which is due to drop on the streaming service at the end of March, revealing that it is her “passion project”.

13 Reasons Why is based on a YA novel of the same name, and follows the story of Clay, a teenage boy who discovers a box of cassette tapes sent to him by his former classmate Hannah – after she has died by suicide.

The contents of the tapes, however, take a dark turn when Clay realises that, in them, Hannah is outlining the 13 reasons why she decided to take her own life, naming several of her former classmates; in the opening voice-over, Hannah is heard saying: “I’m about to tell you the story of my life. More specifically, why my life ended.”

It’s certainly not going to be an easy watch, but is a timely reminder of the effect we have on others – something Selena has been very vocal about.

13 Reasons Why will be released March 31, 2017.
