Sam Smith, 22, opened up during an interview with A Current Affair, revealing how food became a coping mechanism for him during his darker days.
He used food to cope with stress and anxiety, which saw him pile on the pounds he said “from a young age food has controlled me.”
‘When I was at school and wasn’t having a great time or when music wasn’t going very well. I would eat, eat… eating would make me feel better, when I felt lonely I would eat,’ he revealed.
Just recently Sam lost an incredible 6.5kgs in just 14 days. He took to Instagram to thank Amelia Freer’s nutrition book ‘Eat. Nourish. Glow.”
Continuing in the caption, he wrote: ‘It’s not even about weight loss it’s about feeling happy in yourself.’
