Ruby Rose has recently shot to major fame around the world after her new role in the Netflix’s Orange Is The New Black.

She’s gained thousands of fans in the mean time, praising her campaigning for LGBTQI rights.

In a recent interview with ELLE Magazine, she spoke about not conforming to one gender.

“Gender fluidity is not really feeling like you’re at one end of the spectrum or the other,” she told ELLE.

“For the most part, I definitely don’t identify as any gender. I’m not a guy; I don’t really feel like a woman, but obviously I was born one. So, I’m somewhere in the middle, which–in my perfect imagination–is like having the best of both sexes.”

The 29-year-old Aussie has released a short film that she produced, wrote and stars in – and it smashed any misconceptions about gender fluidity.

In the five-minute video, Rose grapples with gender and the message is crystal clear – identity is what you want it to be.
