Ronda Rousey has had her fair share of drama over the last year – and she’s just been at the centre of even more drama.
After appearing on the Jimmy Fallon show, she posted a photo of herself to her Instagram account.
It was a very pretty photo and no-one really thought anything of it. That was, until GETTY images released the official shots from her appearance, and some definite inconsistencies were realised.
Her arms and face are a lot thinner and her leg has been altered.
It may not seem like a big deal to you or I, but it caused Ronda to post a before and after shot on her personal Instagram account explaining the changes.
As someone who has never shied away from speaking about body image, Ronda replied to fans with a heartfelt apology, explaining that she wasn’t aware the image has been photoshopped.
I have to make an apology to everyone – I was sent a picture to share on social for Fallon that was altered without me knowing to make my arms look smaller. I won’t say by who – I know it was done with severely misplaced positive intentions – but this goes against everything I believe and I am extremely proud of every inch of my body. And I can assure you all it will never happen again. I could not be more appalled and hope you all forgive me🙏🏼
“This goes against everything I believe and I am extremely proud of every inch of my body. And I can assure you all it will never happen again. I could not be more appalled and hope you all forgive me,” Rousey wrote in the caption.
“If I can represent that body type of women that isn’t represented so much in media, then I’d be happy to do that,” she said.
