Former Australian Idol contestant Rikki-Lee Coulter has been accused of sending a ‘dangerous’ message to women after a series of weight-loss related Instagram posts.

Dietitian Alex McClelland told Yahoo 7 Be on Saturday the 31-year-old was sending out the wrong message to women aspiring to be healthy.
‘What is so damaging about that meal is, obviously there’s no protein and there’s no carbohydrate, or fat for that matter, which are vital nutrients that your body needs to function correctly,’ Alex said.
On tuesday Ricki-Lee once again revealed more secrets behind her figure, by boasting about almost passing out from excessive running. She took to Instagram with a post-workout selfie, writing I ran so hard I almost passed out! #FastestTimeSoFarTho.’
After raising eyebrows, Ricki-Lee has since taken to Instagram to share a quote saying “sometimes you just have to do what is best for you”.
In a recent interview with New Idea Rikki-Lee disclosed that while she ‘clean eats’ regularly, she still treats herself.
‘Mentally it’s important to treat yourself! Once a week, I have a cheat meal – either a burger and fries, spaghetti bolognese or carbonara.’ said the star.
