It’s Morphin time!

Joseph Khan, has directed a 14 minute parody film of the Power Rangers, who have now become adults and are unrecognisable from the monster-fighting optimists they once were.

Set in a futuristic city with flying cars the original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers battle the evils of James Van Der Beek.

Adi Shankar, who produced the short film explained the reasoning behind creating the parody.

“When I was a child I had two favorite TV shows the X-Men animated series and Power Rangers. I eventually came to the realization that high school kids weaponized to fight an intergalactic threat would turn those kids into some seriously disturbed adults.”

If you need a refresher to set the scene, watch the below, it’s everything you need to know.
