Paris Hilton has had a turbulent career over the last two decades, going from most popular to lease popular celebrity and back again in the blink of an eye.
In my humble opinion, after ‘This is Paris’ dropped on Youtube last year and we got more insight into who she is as a person, she became 1000% more interesting.
So when Paris decided to drop a music video for a song that’s almost 16 years old, I’m not even phased.
I’m eating this stuff up!
Speaking to Paper, Hilton explained:
“I’ve been listening to [Paris] so much with my boyfriend [Carter Reum]. In 2006, I didn’t even know what love was, but the words to [‘Heartbeat’] finally have meaning. It describes the way I feel for him so much that I was like, ‘I have to do a music video.’ I thought it’d be perfect to release around Valentine’s Day, just as a celebration of finally having true love.”
Her partner, Carter Reum, is the inspiration behind her choice to make the dreamy video and he even makes an appearance!
“My boyfriend is not the type of guy who will be in a music video. He’s a businessman and hates the spotlight. He’s not that type of person at all. I asked Carter, ‘I know you’d never do this, but it’d mean so much to me. We’ll just shoot you from the back. There’s obviously no one I’d rather do this with, the song was literally meant for me and you.’ He said, ‘Yes,’ and I was so happy.”
