When we get to the very last moments of the final episode of The Bachelor or The Bachelorette all of us fans sitting at home know the drill off by heart now.

Our Bachelor or Bachelorette tells Osher how happy they are to finally be able to tell their chosen person how they feel.

Osher then speaks to both of the final candidates, preparing them for what will either be a happy ending or heartbreak as they go and speak with out Bachelor/Bachelorette.

The first person to show up is always the runner up, and the second person is USUALLY the winner (thanks for ruining that one Honey Badger).

We then finish with a fairytale-esque kiss and what seems like a happily ever after between our new couple.

But it seems that one thing will be very different during the finale of Angie Kent’s season of The Bachelorette this week. Osher won’t actually be there!

Speaking with The Daily Telegraph over the weekend, Osher explained that he had to miss the last part of filming because his wife Audrey went into labour with their son Wolfie.

“In the last week of filming, Audrey had contractions seven minutes apart, so it was going to happen at any moment,” he told The Sunday Telegraph.

“I was getting nervous while hanging around the mansion and my executive producer … took one look at me and said, ‘Osh, you can’t miss this. It will be the best day of your life, don’t worry we will make it happen.’”

So who will be there to console the runner up on Thursday night’s episode? Apparently producers had to get creative in working out how they would finish up the episode without Osher congratulating them and sending them off into the real world.

“Everyone banded together and figured out a way to make the show work without me being there for the final moments,” Osher continued to tell the publication.

“It was odd not to be there. It is the moment they go off into the wild and I really like to give them a hug and tell them I am happy for them. But I am sure I will catch up with everyone once the outcome is out there.”

While it has been reported that Osher wouldn’t be in the episode at all, he has since said on Twitter that he makes an appearance and was only missing for the final decision.

“I was there – just not for the final moments…” he wrote on Twitter. “I’ll be there, just not at the very, very end.”

But still, it won’t be the same without you in the final moments Osh!

Osher’s son Wolfie was born earlier in August. He’s also a stepfather to his wife Audrey’s daughter from a previous relationship, Georgia.

Please meet Georgia’s youngest brother, Wolfgang. We call him Wolfie for short. He and @Audreygriffen did so well on Friday when he was born perfectly formed with ten fingers and toes, healthy and happy at 3.97kg. (Though between the delivery bed and the scale he did do a massive poop – and the doc agreed that if he hadn’t he would have topped 4kg easily.) I am in complete awe of my wife. What I witnessed her do, the power I saw her summon from within her to bring this boy into the world was utterly astonishing. As he came closer and closer, her body began to unleash an incredible energy that was absolutely not going to be held back. Yet Audrey was able to harness it, guide it, and use it to transcend the extraordinary pain she was feeling and channel it all towards an energy that brought this boy alive and well into the world. That I’ve known Audrey for over five years, and yet had no idea that within her this whole time was an almighty divine force capable of bringing life into the world like this blows my mind and was astonishing to witness. I can’t think of any single thing a man does in his life that physically equates to what I saw Audrey do. For me – any marathon or endurance event I’ve ever raced is essentially a wander to the kitchen compared to what I saw Audrey do on Friday. Wolfie’s big sister Georgia was in the room with us via the most perfect playlist that she made especially for the occasion – and this boy came into the world to the sounds of Kendrick Lamar, Beyonce and Khalid. Less than an hour after he was born, Wolfie met G for real – and she’s the best big sister he could have ever hoped for. We are in love and drowning in gratitude, oxytocin and new baby smell.
