You’ve already head the drama that went down last night.
Jamie Doran had a little bit of a meltdown after thinking his friend Timm Hanly was leaving Paradise.
If you haven’t seen what happened, Jamie started crying, panicking and begging Timm not to leave.
He then proceeded to pack his own things and began leaving in response.
Half the nation found it hilarious (myself included) however, after seeing how the other half responded, I’m not going to lie I feel a little bad.
Twitter started to flood with concerned fans about Jamie’s mental health.
Because laughing at someone’s mental health issues is so funny 🙄. The cast and producers of #BachelorInParadiseAU should be disgusted in themselves for how they just handled the situation with Jamie.

Jamie crying is not funny it’s more just sad that he has such bad social separation disorder issues and everyone laughing at him is kinda toxic #BachelorinParadiseAU

This is actually really uncomfortable and I feel like this should not be aired. Clearly Jamie is going through something. #BachelorInParadiseAU

After reading these, my perspectives changed quite significantly.
They’re right, the way Jamie responded was not normal and he must definitely be going through something personally or mentally.
It feels quite cruel in hindsight to laugh at him in his most vulnerable moment.
Show host Osher has had to come out and tweet in response, stating that the cast has significant access to mental health professionals!
It’s probably pertinent to point out that everyone on the show has full access to mental health professionals as well as support from the Warner Bros. Australia and Network 10 teams before, during and after production. #bachelorinparadiseau

To be CLEAR.
The amount of mental health support before/during/after production for the people on this show it significant. But you’ll never know who accessed it, who asked for it, and who continues with it because of privacy. But trust me, it’s ROBUST. #bachelorinparadiseau— Osher Günsberg (@oshergunsberg) July 22, 2020
After the wild episode on Tuesday forcing Renee and Ciarran together for ‘good tv’, the show is in a bit of hot water at the moment.
