Josh Groban and his girlfriend of almost two years Kat Dennings, star of Two Broke Girls, have called it quits.

A source told E! News that it was a ‘mutual break up’’ and ‘’they are still friends and care about each other, but it’s not the right time for them now as a couple.’’

The duo made their first appearance together at the Beverley Hills Carousel of Hope Ball in October 2014 and Josh later gushed about the brunette beauty on The Ellen Degeneres show.

“Humor is such a huge thing for me, so, you know, the fact that we could talk about Monty Python and all sorts of weird other things, I was like, ‘Okay yeah, we’re on the same page,'” the 35-year-old revealed.

Kat returned the sentiment. “Obviously you know how talented and amazing [Josh] is,” the 30-year-old shared. “But what you may not know is that he’s one of those people who can sit at a piano and play anything, anything off the top of his [head] … he’s just, he’s just a genius.”

The singer has a big few months coming up as he prepares for his Broadway debut in Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812.
