It’s the end of the road for one Channel Sevens biggest shows.
After 12 years, Dancing With The Stars will not return for another round.
“We’ve had a great deal of enjoyment and fun during the incredible 12 years of tulle and twirling Dancing has given us all. The audience numbers from the last season were disappointing though, and the show will not return in 2017,” a Seven spokeswoman told the Daily Telegraph.
With this year being an Olympic year, Dancing was missing from their usual schedule and after Seven unveiled their production schedule for 2017, it was missing.
Last season failed to pull in the high figures it is used to, with the premiere only being watched by 778,000 and the finale gained only 883,000.
Last year also saw changes to the hosting line-up after Daniel MacPherson left to pursue other acting gigs overseas. With actor Shane Bourne stepping in as his replacement alongside Edwina Bartholomew.
