One Direction star Liam Payne seriously spilled the beans in a few radio interviews lately…
Firstly, he admitted that the news about fellow bandmate Louis Tomlinson expecting a child seriously caught him off guard.
“Well, obviously I was a bit shocked, but he’s taken super well to it” he told Magic Radio’s Jo Parkerson on Monday.
“Louis is very excited with what’s going on with him at the moment and I feel that stuff like that happens sometimes. He’s taking it very seriously.”
On Tomlinson’s girlfriend, Briana Jungwirth, “She’s really nice, she’s a lovely girl.”
The manager of One Direction, Simon Cowell gave 23 year old Tomlinson some parenting advice saying “You man up. You’re fortunate because you’re in a position to be able to look after the baby and not worry to much about that .. I’ve received bad calls in my life but this is not one of them. This is your business but I’m here for you.”
Payne also talked about Zayn Malik leaving the band and signing his own deal..
Malik announced a deal with RCA on July 29th via Twitter and used the hashtag #realmusic when talking about his new tracks, leaving 1D fans upset.
However on Monday August 3rd, Liam said to Nick Grimshaw on U.K’s Radio, “One Direction was never Zayn’s sort of music so he kind of always wanted to find something else … If your hearts not into something you can’t just carry on doing it because of fame and stuff. You have to go and do what you want to do.”
Payne congratulated Malik on his new record deal and included Malik in a photo tweet celebrating 1D’s fifth anniversary, indicating there are no hard feelings.
One Direction surprised their fans with a new single on July 31, “Drag Me Down”, their first song without Malik.
