The remaining four members of British boy band One Direction have given their first official media interview following the departure of Zayn Malik.
Zayn announced that he was leaving the group after five years on March 25 to have some time away from the limelight, but has since been revealed to be working on solo music.
Now, Harry, Liam, Niall and Louis have spoken to British newspaper The Sun about life after Zayn – and what’s next for them.
“All four of us are 100 per cent committed to staying in 1D,” Louis said.
Liam revealed that it has been difficult, calling the time since Zayn left “the toughest since the band was formed five years ago”.
“We’re gutted that Zayn chose to leave, but now after a few performances as a four-piece, we’re feeling confident and are determined to carry on stronger than ever.”
The group has just performed its last concert for a couple of months, and is currently working on its fifth studio album.
