In case you missed it, last month Olivia Wilde and hubby Jason Sudeikis welcomed their second child, Daisy Josephine Sudeikis, into the world.
As any new parent does, they’ve been busy sharing snaps of her in all her gorgeousness.
Olivia’s also taken the opportunity to show some of her favourite baby purchases.
In particular, these two adorable onesies.
Sounds innocent enough, right?
Perhaps at first glance, but then you begin to read the comments and realise the star’s hit a sore spot with these ones!
A loud and proud feminist, from day one of Daisy’s birth, Olivia’s been vocal about how she’ll be raising her daughter.
For example, pointing out how she was “Born, like a boss, on #internationaldayofthegirl”.
Or sharing this breastfeeding pic with the hashtag #neverunderestimatethepowerofawoman.
But it was the statement on the onesie – “the future is female”, that really got people up in arms.
There were calls of reverse sexism by some:
“The future should be together as one. Not divided with one sex trying to be better than the other.”
While others questioned her assumption of gender:
“Are you just going to assume your babies gender? How non-progressive of you. Shame.”
However, while their anger may have been apparent, it was nothing compared to the applause she received.
And the questions asking where to get them from (still no word)!
Despite the accusations of being a feminazi, we’re guessing this fierce mumma and bub don’t really care either way…
