Nicole Kidman has opened up about her experience with miscarriage in a new issue of Tatler.
The actress claims the emotion linked to losing a baby is not spoken about enough – especially given the number of women and couples that suffer through fertility issues.
“I know the yearning. That yearning. It’s a huge, aching yearning. And the loss!” she said.
“The loss of a miscarriage is not talked about enough. That’s massive grief to certain women.
“There’s an enormous amount of pain and an enormous amount of joy on the other side of it.
I interviewed Nicole Kidman for the relaunch issue of @Tatlermagazine and she was the utterly brilliant woman’s woman you always suspected she would be. Heaven. Thank you @richarddennen @ConnersCl for the dream commission. pic.twitter.com/rxpXLSE74h

“The flipside of going through so much yearning and pain to get there is the feeling of ‘Ahhhh!’ when you have the child.”
Kidman was married to Tom Cruise between 1990 through to 2001.
While they do not share any biological children, they adopted two children, Connor and Isabella.
“I had a miscarriage at the end of my marriage, but I had an ectopic pregnancy at the beginning of my marriage,” she revealed to Marie Claire just over a decade ago.
“It was incredibly traumatic for me. Sometimes you share your grief.”
Since then, Kidman has gone on to marry Keith Urban, with whom she shares two daughters, Faith and Sunday Rose.
