One man has boarded a Ryanair flight and sat right next to his doppelgänger.

I know they say that everyone out there has a twin they don’t know about, there are too many people in the world for features to not be the same.

But very rarely do people ever get to meet that person – but Neil Douglas from Glasgow, did.

As he boarded a flight from Stansted to Galway, Douglas sat down and realised that the man sitting next to him – looked EXACTLY like him!

People on the plane started to notice, too – and Douglas promptly pulled out his camera and took a selfie of he and Robert Stirling, from London.

The photo has now been shared more than 2,000 times online, as no-one can quite believe that the strangers share the same bushy ginger beards and hairstyles.

Speaking to MailOnline, Mr Douglas said: ‘I asked him to move and when the guy looked up, I thought: “Holy s***, he looks like me.” ‘

We had a big laugh about it – everyone had a laugh. We took a selfie and that was it. ‘I later checked into my hotel in Galway to find my doppelganger checking into the same hotel ahead of me. Total weirdness.’

‘We chatted on the flight for just over an hour, he was a very nice guy. ‘It turned out that we were staying at the same hotel, and we saw him in a few pubs that night. We ended up socialising and quite a few people pointed out that we looked very similar.’
