It could be labelled ‘doing the Miranda’ after David Jones famously chose not to renew model Miranda Kerr’s contract after five years as ambassador of the brand.
But now, the ‘Miranda Kerr-se’ has fallen upon Aussie stunner Laura Dundovic, who has been dropped by MYER after a five-year stint as ambassador of the retail giant.
Fellow ambassadors Lauren Philips and Jodi Anasta have been re-signed, along with Jennifer Hawkins, Kate Peck and Kris Smith.
A MYER spokesperson commented, “Laura’s contract with Myer was not renewed at the end of her contract period in December 2014.”
“Laura was a valued ambassador over a five-year period, representing the business across a broad range of fashion, racing, store and community events and we wish her all the best for the future.”
The reason behind Dundovic’s dropping is said to be because she’s no longer thought to be the right fit for the brand, which could be to do with the new way in which she seems to be promoting herself via social media.
The 2008 Miss Universe has recently found herself becoming more of a regular on the health and fitness scene, with her Instagram account full of images and videos of her working out.
We’re sure we’ll be seeing plenty more of Dundovic, starting with Australia Day, as she’s the ambassador for this year’s Havaianas Australia Day Thong Challenge at North Bondi Beach.
