Jack Vidgen’s appearance has been the talk of the town ever since he resurfaced on our TV screens.

He first shot to fame at the young age of 14 after his incredible voice saw him win Australia’s Got Talent in 2011.

Now, almost eight year’s later, he’s making his television comeback and is set to appear on this season of The Voice on Sunday night’s Blind Auditions episode.

And it’s safe to say people were shocked to see him.

Not just because it’s been a long time since we’ve seen or heard from the singer, but because of how dramatically different he looks now!

The once baby-faced youngster has disappeared and now as a 22-year-old people have come out insisting that he’s undergone cosmetic surgery to change his appearance.

But speaking with The Kyle and Jackie O show this morning, Jack insisted that this was far from the case.

He claimed that he has never gone under the knife but admitted to plumping up his lips with filler.

“A lot has been talked about your appearance and you say no I have not had surgery the only thing I’ve had is my lips done right?” asked Jackie this morning.

“Yeah, I’ve had filler done,” Jack responded.

“And that’s it?” Jackie asked.

“Yep.”

When asked if it bothered him when people assumed that he’d had cosmetic surgery, Jack explained that everyone is allowed to have their opinion but that it doesn’t make him feel any less happy with himself because he’s no longer insecure.

“I understand it, honestly people are welcome to have their opinion. It’s fine, I get that it comes with the territory,” he said.

“For me, I had an insecurity and I had the opportunity to not be insecure anymore and I did that and I’m happy.”

Jackie then asked why Jack had felt so insecure about his lips. He explained that he put a lot of pressure on himself to be and look a certain way because he was in the public eye.

“I think one of the big reasons I stopped being in the public eye was because I put a lot of pressure on myself and I think over the years I’ve definitely experimented with different things and I’ve had to get to a place where I’m finally happy with myself,” he explained.

“I love myself. I have self worth. And I’m just grateful that I was able to get to that place because I think a lot of people don’t. And sometimes they’re the people that are actually saying the nasty things online.”

In terms of the haters commenting on Jack’s appearance now, he says that as hard as it is you just have to ignore it.

Jack Vidgen will compete in the blind auditions this Sunday night at 7PM on Channel Nine!
