By now the name Andy King should be a household name. He is known as the guy who was willing to do whatever it took to save the project he was working on – the infamous and disastrous Fyre Festival.
And honestly we have to praise his commitment! What a bloody trooper.
In case you don’t know what we’re talking about (and if that’s the case, go home and watch the Fyre Festival documentary on Netflix IMMEDIATELY) Andy King became an internet sensation for one line that he said during the documentary.
Basically his boss, Billy, told Andy that they were having trouble negotiating the price of getting water to the festival with customs and so he was told that in order to fix the situation he would have to take one for the team and, uh, orally pleasure the customs officer.
As Andy explained the situation during the doco, he had one line that stood out to everyone that sent him viral.
“I got into my car to drive across the island to take one for the team. And I got to his office fully prepared to suck his dick.”
Andy spoke with Kyle and Jackie O about this one moment from the documentary this morning, telling us that he originally wasn’t too keen for this quote to be used in the final edit.
“Andy, your bit in it obviously went viral because of what you were prepared to do to make certain things happen with the water getting through customs,” said Jackie. “And I know you wanted it out of the documentary originally right?”
“Correct,” he said. “Who would want their entire career based on a blow job.”
He then explained what exactly was going through his mind as he headed to the customs office to perform the task at hand.
“Thankfully it didn’t get that far,” Andy said about the fact that he never actually had to go through with it.
“But as you know from the documentary I went home, I changed my clothes, I wasn’t sure what to wear and I gargled with all the mouth wash I could,” he explained.
Andy then told us just how prepared he was to really go through with it, admitting that he did MOUTH EXERCISES in preparation!
“I’m heading across the island, I drove about twenty minutes doing mouth exercises, preparing myself for the wonderful mission,” Andy said.
“When I got to his office he said, ‘Andy I really like you’. And I was like, ‘Oh, I like you too, but how much?’. And he said, ‘You know, Billy’s done a lot around here but you’ve done an amazing job, and I will accept the money for the water in just a couple of days’.”
“You must’ve thought, ‘Great. What a waste of mouth exercises this has been’,” laughed Kyle.
“Oh exactly,” replied Andy. “It was kind of exciting, I was living like I was in a small movie!”
Andy said that since his moment of fame in the Fyre Festival documentary he can’t even go to a restaurant without being recognised.
What a way to find fame hey?
