Amid the coronavirus pandemic numerous celebs have come forward saying that they have tested positive to the virus, including people like Tom Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson, Idris Elba and Pink.
And now the latest celebrity to admit to having the coronavirus is hit singer Sam Smith, although they admitted that they did not actually get a test.
Sam said that they self-diagnosed themselves with COVID-19 during a FaceTime interview with Zane Lowe, saying that they experienced several symptoms.
“I didn’t get tested but I know I have it. I’m just going to assume that I did because everything I’ve read completely pointed to that. So yeah, I think I definitely had it,” Sam said, according to People.
Symptoms of coronavirus include fever, tiredness and a dry cough. Some people may also experience aches and pains, nasal congestion, a runny nose or sore throat.
Sam also said that their sister experienced similar symptoms and so they both self-isolated form their family for three weeks.
“I’ve got an older Nan, so we didn’t want to risk anything,” Sam added.
Sam said that they are feeling better now and is back to writing music, as their new song with Demi Lovato ‘I’m Ready’ dropped just last week!
“As everyone was kind of really on lockdown, that’s when I got over it, luckily. I started writing and it’s a whole different vibe. It’s amazing. It’s great.”
So glad Sam is doing okay now!
