Amanda Seyfried has come on David Letterman revealing that the way she gets through interviews and television appearances is by… drinking!
The actress, who has starred in a plethora of big hollywood films, including Mama Mia, Dear John and Ted 2, has revealed that she has always suffered from anxiety and decided to seek counselling after getting drunk before an interview with David Letterman in 2012 in an attempt to calm her nerves.
The 29-year-old was on the late night show to promote Les Miserables, but instead made headlines for the awkward live appearance. She admitted on air that she was ‘pretty drunk’ from shots of whisky, some of which came from her friend Russell Crowe.
According to a report on the Daily Mail, Seyfriend began seeing a therapist after her appearance on the show to help her get over her stage fright.
‘I have a lot of anxiety that I’ve been struggling with my whole life,’ she said. ‘So I have been working through it. I’m terrified, but this is exactly what I wanted.’
